Open Oregon State is a new unit within OSU Extended Campus. We work with faculty to create online educational resources that can be accessed freely by students, teachers and researchers in digital media collections around the world.

Open Oregon State aims to take advantage of OSU's national reputation in online learning to establish competitive open educational resources (OER), with a focus on:

  • Learning module development
  • Reusable digital components
  • Open textbooks

11:00-11:45 – An overview of Open Oregon State and national initiatives

11:45-12:15  – Summary of current projects

12:15-12:30 – Showcase examples (learning modules and interactive textbooks)

12:30-12:45 – How to work with Open Oregon State

1:00-2:00 – Optional workshop: How to find and use OER in your courses
